What is BroFFA.org all about?
This Website was developed in response to a growing need among families
in Brookline, Massachusetts, to share information, tips, stories, and
strategies in dealing with food allergies.
Many of us may already be members of The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (www.foodallergy.org) and/or The Asthma and Allergy Foundation (www.asthmaandallergies.org). These organizations—in addition to our physicians’ counsel, of course—no doubt provide most of our information. There is, however, opportunity to share at a local level. For example, do you know of a good bakery in the area? Did you have any strategies for entering kindergarten? Do you have any good tips for traveling or dining out? Any good restaurants?
Dealing with food allergies on an individual basis can at times be overwhelming. Our goal is to form a small community within the larger whole. The more information we can share, the more lessons we can learn, the easier it can be. We welcome comments from parents, students, everyone.
SIGN UP TODAY! We encourage you to join our mailing list to receive notification of new postings. Email broffa@rcn.com and include "Mailing List" in your Subject Tag. You may wish to include your specific allergen concerns in the Message Body.
Thank you!
